Anthea Doropoulos


Anthea Doropoulos has been a dancer with and Director of DirtyFeet since 2005. She has held numerous roles throughout the company’s history; from dancer to producer, publicist, administrator and Artistic Director. Graduated from Victoria College of the Arts with a Bachelor of dance in 2004. Anthea has worked with companies/choreographers including DanceTank, Stompin, Dean Walsh, Kay Armstrong, Anton, Vicki Van Hout, Michael Whaites, Paul Cordeiro, Sarah-Vyne Vassallo and Eva Fernandez Adan.

In addition to DirtyFeet’s own productions Tipping Point and Under the Weather, she has performed with DirtyFeet at The Australian Dance Awards (Sydney Opera House), at two seasons of Short, Sweet and Dance and We like Short Shorts at DanceHouse in Melbourne. Anthea is a qualified Pilates Instructor and studio manager. Anthea’s passion for dance began at The Bodenweisers School of Dance, under Margaret Chapel; which intensified whilst studying at The McDonald College.

 

Sarah Fiddaman


Sarah is currently a professional contemporary dancer who originally trained and performed as a ballet dancer. After graduating from the prestigious Heinz Bosl Stiftung in Munich in 2002, she joined the company Theatre Krefeld Moenchengladbach under the direction of Heidrun Schwaarz. Sarah enjoyed soloist and corps roles in works by Christopher Bruce, Balanchine, Hans Van Manen, Renato Zanella, Peter Marcus and Kurt Joos. Upon her return to Australia she delved deeper into the contemporary dance realm, helping to create the contemporary dance company DirtyFeet and since becoming a major part of the company’s infrastructure, both as a dancer and director. During this time she worked with choreographers including Dean Walsh, Anton, Vicki Van Hout, Kay Armstrong, Michael Whaites, Paul Cordeiro and Annalouise Paul. Sarah has been dancing with Tasdance since 2009, dancing in works by Anton, Francis Rings, Chrissie Parrott, Graeme Murphy, Solon Ulbrich, Adam Wheeler, Trisha Dunn, Alice Lee-Holland, Larisa McGowan and Anna Smith. Sarah has also been teaching ballet and contemporary to all ages since 2005.
