Miranda Wheen

Miranda Wheen is an independent dancer and emerging choreographer. She has worked nationally and  internationally with companies such as Mirramu Dance Company, Shaun Parker and Company, Restless Dance Theatre, Stalker Theatre Company, Dirty Feet Dance Collective, and Jigsaw Theatre Company as well as with choreographers such as Martin Del Amo, Dean Walsh, Liz Lea, Annalouise Paul, Vivienne Rogis, Rakini Devi, and Cadi McCarthy.

She has a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) from the University of Western Sydney and First Class Honours from Macquarie University. She has also trained at L'Ecole des Sables, the School of the Sands, in Senegal, Africa, with Bessie Award winning choreographer Germaine Acogny. Her work How to Understand How Big A Blue Whale Is was awarded Most Outstanding Choreography at Short Sweet and Dance Festival in 2009.
