Sean Marcs is a NSW based independent dancer, emerging choreographer and a graduate of Wesley Institute’s Bachelor of Dance.
Sean has worked with companies including youMove Company (2009-2011), DirtyFeet (2009 Tipping Point), Sydney Festival, the Short and Sweet Dance Australian Tour, Vertical Shadows Dance Company, Pinchgut Opera, FORM, Legs on the Wall and VIVID. He has worked with various choreographers including Jodie McNeilly Travers Ross, Emma Saunders, David Williams, Stephen Agisilaou, Ash Bee, Sarah-Vyne Vassallo, Anton, Vicki Van Hout, Martin del Amo and Kay Armstrong.
Last year Sean relished the opportunity of touring as part of the cast of ‘Briwyant’, in the Melbourne Season at the Malthouse Theatre under Choreographer and Artistic Director Vicki Van Hout.
2013 has so far seen Sean as one of 12 Solo’s created by renowned choreographer Martin del Amo. Solo number 9 ‘Nowhere to Hide’ was presented in del Amo’s 2013 season ‘Slow Dances for Fast Times’ at Sydney’s Carriageworks.
Most Recently he has worked for choreographer Kay Armstrong in an Instillation work for Sydney’s VIVID Lights Festival.
Sean is also currently a mentee for Legs on the Wall’s development of new work ‘Puncture’, in collaboration with FORM and VOX, choreographed by Kathryn Puie and Directed by Patrick Nolan.
