Eva has been performing, choreographing and dancing for 20 years.
After studying Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary in Barcelona, she went on to co-found Tramunteatre Theatre Company, performing at major Festivals in Spain and touring Europe. She continued to teach and perform physical theatre and dance in Spain until relocating to Australia in 2000.
In Australia she co-founded and was Creative Director of Fireflys, an all-female theatrical circus troupe. Fireflys performed throughout Asia and the Middle East including Qatar, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Since 2004 Eva has been creating and directing new works that combine dance, circus, physical theatre and live music with her company DanceCircus. DanceCircus has also performed and choreographed at major events across Australia and overseas.
Eva is a founding member of DirtyFeet Dance Company and has danced in works by Carol Dilley, Richard Allen, Daniela di Fabio, Paul Cordeiro, Kay Armstrong, Sarah-Vyne Vassallo, Anton and Martin Del Amo. She has performed at the 2006 Australian Dance Awards and at the 2007 We like Short Shorts (Dancehouse- Melb).
Her choreographic work Pieces of Mind was performed at Stop.Watch and Short Sweet & Dance 2007 where she was awarded Best New Talent for choreography.
In 2006 she performed in The Magic Flute, a collaboration between Opera Australia and Legs on the Wall. In 2009 she was Rehearsal Director and Performer in the return season of The Magic Flute.
In 2008 she was Assistant choreographer for Two Feet First, the Legs on the Wall emerging artist program. In August 2008 she co- produced, choreographed and performed in Under the Weather, Dirtyfeet’s sell out season.
In 2010 she was commissioned by Star City to produce and choreograph Acrobatic Dance performances for the Chinese New Year Celebrations. She has also produced and choreographed a film version of her award winning work Pieces of Mind.
In 2011 Pieces of Mind was selected to be part of Shorter and Sweeter touring program which showcases a selection of the very best Dance works, gathered from Short+Sweet Dance festivals and choreographed and performed by Australia’s hottest dance talents.
She had also the privilege to work as movement adviser for Sydney Theatre Company’s production Blood Wedding.
2012 will see her as Assistant Director of Flamenco Fire’s Gypsy Pathways season 2012, opening at Brisbane’s QPAC in February.
