Tanya Voges

Tanya Voges is an independent choreographer and performer based in Sydney Australia. A graduate of Victorian College of the Arts (BA Dance, 2004), she danced with Tasdance from 2005-9 in national and international tours (Choreographers: Sue Healey, Byron Perry, Shaun Parker, Tanja Liedtke, Anna Smith, Nannette Hassall, Raewyn Hill).

Tanya is currently developing the Spoken Body Project through an extended residency with Blacktown Arts Centre. Part choreography and part verbatim theatre the works are made from interviews with community members, cultural exchange programs with migrants who have settled in the area, dance workshops with youth groups and working with professional dancers and actors on developing a new work to be co-presented by BAC in their 2014 program.
