
Alexandra started her dance training at the Dell Brady Ballet School in Canberra. She has studied in Contemporary, Classical and Jazz. In Canberra she performed with Meryl Tankard in "Corte Flora" (1990). In 1998 Alexandra moved to the Blue Mountains, she continued her training at Classe Dance Academy with Sue Weule and teachers Garth Welch and Jennifer Barry. In 2002 Alexandra had the privilege of performing in "Out of Bounds" with "Quantum Leap" Dance Ensemble (Canberra). She worked with choreographers Ruth Osborne, Solon Ulbrich, Vivienne Rogis and Sandi Woo. Alexandra completed a Bachelor of Dance in 2006 at the Victorian College of the Arts. During this time she danced in "Discordance" by Ellen David which won first prize in the Australian Choreographic Competition (2004). She also danced in "To Explode Beautifully" by Alistair Macindoe (dancer with Lucy Guerin). Other choreographers Alexandra has worked with include Rebecca Hilton, Stephanie Lake, Carlee Mellow, Antony Hamilton, Anna Smith, Gary Stewart, Neil Adams, Paul Zivcovich and Paul White. In 2007 Alexandra worked with Balletlab (Melbourne based company) in "Origami", choreographed by Phillip Adams. In 2007 Alexandra danced in "Softlanding", collaboration with artists Solon Ulbrich and Tanya Leidke at the Choreographic Centre in Canberra. The same year Alexandra worked with Melbourne Dance Company in "Love and all other Catastrophes”. She also choreographed and modelled for the clothing label "Out with Demons" as part of Melbourne Fashion Week (2007). In 2008 Alexandra worked with solo artist Liz Lea in Mackay, Queensland on "The Ballet of the Matroushka Dolls". Alexandra won first prize in the "Blue Mountains Bite Sized Festival" for Most Outstanding Dancer for the solo she choreographed "The Porcelain Road". Alexandra has travelled to New York where she had the opportunity to work with dance film maker Amy Greenfield and New York choreographers Max Stone and Jana Hicks. She has worked with Melbourne based dance artist Dario Varsecia in “Take off your Skin” for the Melbourne Arts Festival 2009. She has performed and choreographed for Melbourne L’Oreal fashion week for “, Caught in the Act, Thread Den” and “ Unwearables”. Currently she is working on a piece to be performed at Melbourne artist David Bromely’s studios “A Day on Earth.”
