
Jay Bailey graduated Queensland University Of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.
As a choreographer Jay has created work for Tasmanian Fringe Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Theatre Works, The National Portrait Gallery, Beams Festival, Platform Shorts and youMove Company. In 2007 her work S.H.E.D won First Place and People's Choice Award at the Flip Top Heart Competition.
Jay currently works with youMove Company performing pieces by Kay Armstrong, Anton, Kevin Privett, Joshua Thomson, Ian Colless, Venetia Miller and Polyartistry for Opera Australia, ABC3, Sydney Festival, and Campbelltown Arts Centre. In 2012 Jay was selected to participate as a performer in the first AFTRS Screen Dance Film Masterclass presented by Dr Richard James Allen from The Physical TV Company.
Previously Jay worked with Claire Marshall in Poptrash, Mod Cons, and The Factory as well as film clips for Powderfinger, Sleepy Jackson, and Axel Whitehead.
