
Ivey Wawn is an independent dancer living in Sydney, Australia. She trained at Ev and Bow in Sydney?s South in 2009. Since then she has sought out various international teachings and opportunities attending dance festivals and doing work experience in other parts of the world.
Living in London for two years, Ivey was involved in a wide variety of projects engaging with Hofesh Shechter Company, Ultima Vez (Wim Vandekeybus), Tino Seghal, Jose Agudo (Akram Khan Co.), Leila MacMillan and Ben Duke among others. In 2012 she was a grant recipient of the Ian Potter Cultural Foundation, which enabled her to visit Impulstanz and also funded her being a part of the Ultima Vez Research Training Program. Returning to Sydney in early 2013 Ivey has been working on her own creative practice and taking part in a number of projects through Critical Path, Kaldor Public Art Projects, DirtyFeet, United Movement and for independent artists; Rob McCredie, Jess Devereaux and Tanya Voges.
