MEETING POINT will investigate the idea of externalizing the internal world of the dancer, using Afro-contemporary and cross-cultural choreography as well as live music.

I will be researching biomechanics and the effective use of gravity in an integrated dance environment. Exploration will draw greatly on contemporary dance, contact improvisation and low-level harness work.

6-17 October
9am-3pm
6-9 dancers
I will be experimenting with mathematical structures, repetition and improvised body states. Together we will create set movement material that explores the trajectory of sequential energy through the body.

The Choreographic Lab provides a safe environment where early professionals can come together to explore their creative practice. The Lab builds relationships between artists, facilitates the development of methodology and skills, and can be the first steps towards the creation of new work.
